Description

I will try to deconstruct the standard view of magic nuclei by showing their vulnerability to correlations.
I will exemplify  this issue in the
40Ca and 68Ni cases.
Time permitting I will deal with several other
regions of interest like the N=20-28 and N=40 islands of inversion/deformation, the heavy Calciums and the heavier N=Z nuclei (beyond, say, 56Ni).
Indeed, touching them lightly,
as they may be subjects for future "Coffee with Nuclei" discussion sessions.
