This talk will focus on the consequences of electroweak symmetry breaking by strong dynamics, assuming that the observed Higgs boson is a composite scalar appearing as a pseudo-Goldstone boson related to a new strongly interacting sector. I will give a simple introduction to composite Higgs models and their effective Lagrangian description. In this framework I will discuss the role of spin-1 resonances, focusing on the properties of an SU(2)_L triplet which is most interesting from the point of view of LHC phenomenology.
