In order to enable an iCal export link, your account needs to have an API key created. This key enables other applications to access data from within Indico even when you are neither using nor logged into the Indico system yourself with the link provided. Once created, you can manage your key at any time by going to 'My Profile' and looking under the tab entitled 'HTTP API'. Further information about HTTP API keys can be found in the Indico documentation.
Additionally to having an API key associated with your account, exporting private event information requires the usage of a persistent signature. This enables API URLs which do not expire after a few minutes so while the setting is active, anyone in possession of the link provided can access the information. Due to this, it is extremely important that you keep these links private and for your use only. If you think someone else may have acquired access to a link using this key in the future, you must immediately create a new key pair on the 'My Profile' page under the 'HTTP API' and update the iCalendar links afterwards.

During the LHC design and construction, a tremendous effort was made to define processes, to agree upon key conventions and standards and to specify and develop the appropriate software tools. All these quality related documents were released under the auspices of the LHC Project Quality Assurance Working Group and assembled in the LHC Project QAP. Many are those who still have a copy of this binder in their offices. Since 2005, quality management related activities were focussed on the procurement processes and templates. Many A&T Sector programs, projects, studies and activities are still relying on QAP prepared for the LHC Project while the latter came to completion in 2008. Frédérick Bordry, as a newly appointed Director for Accelerators and Technology, decided that a committee and an entity should take care of upgrading the LHC Project QAP so that it becomes suited to the activities at large that are on going in the A&T Sector. Early this year, the LHC Project QAWG was revived and promoted to the rank of committee with as a core mandate the definition of a strategy in matter of quality management suited to the sector; a section (EN-MEF-QOP, QOP standing for Quality and Organizational Processes) was also created to take care of the editorial tasks. In almost two decades, quality management practices have evolved and are still evolving. The aim of this seminar is twofold: presenting the organization set up by the A&T Sector Management to move towards a modular and scalable quality management and systems engineering framework suited to the programs, projects, studies and activities on going in the A&T Sector, framework which shall supersede the long lasted LHC Project Quality Assurance Plan; presenting some key concepts derived from modern quality management practices that should or will be part of this quality framework. A particular insight will of course be given to program/project management and systems engineering practices, but also on key technical managerial aspects such as product lifecycle management and information management, that are known to be major key drivers for organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
