#--- WP4 Coordination Meeting 1
Sep 3, 2014

R. Calaga reviewed the Wp4 structure, the relavant decision making bodies, the topics inside WP4 and the scope specifically for crab cavity project. This contains as a first milestone, field demonstration with compact cavities where all three cavities reached the nominal or higher fields, some with higher than required residual resistance. The present task leader structure within the crab cavity project was outlined along with external collaborations notably USLARP and UK.

It was noted by A. Macpherson that an organigram for the WP4 on the sharepoint webpage will be useful. There exists already the list of tasks and task leaders associated on the HiLumi webpage. However, this contains still the old list with breakdown according to the HiLumi design study which is already obsolete.

The documentation already provided for the design study (Milestones, deliverables, conceptual specs and cavity functional and engineering specifications) were listed. The upcoming deadlines for the rest of the documentation leading up to the TD Rwas outlined. R. Calaga will prepare a draft for the PDR and circulate it for update among the task leaders and the co-collaborators.

The offical code used in the LHC database for crab cvaities is LHCACF which is also the same for the equipment for SPS tests. Subdirectories already exist for specific equipment and the generate drawings should populate under the specific directories for easier management in future.

An overview of the recent and upcoming meetings were listed. Some comments were made on budget with request for fellows in 2015. In addition to the 2 fellows for EN-MME, an additional fellow for CCTC was requested. E. Montesinos requested additional money for DTE in place of a fellow which will be added to the existing request for 2015. A cost review is
foreseen for the entire project in Jan 2015 for which R. Calaga will prepare a draft and get input from task leaders

O. Capatina gave an update of the DQW and RFD dressed cavity designs. An engineering specification is issued with relevant material for the manufaturer to generate drawings. DQW is now fixed with final 3D model, functional drawings. RFD 3D is completed with some reinforcement
updates to be finalized and released to manufaturer soon. A fabrication kick-off meeting with Niowave at CERN is scheduled for 1-2 Oct 2014 to finalize and approve the fabrication plan and drawings. Magnetic shielding inside the He-vessel is being worked out with the UK colleagues with a visit by T. Jones forseen soon. A. Macpherson mentioned that ambient field measurements in the SPS is now under preparation. Tuner system and he-vessel is also being worked out with some collaboration with UK. The DQW FPC is finalized and geometry is sent to RF-PM. Assembly of the FPC in the clean room is being worked out to determine the sequence. The actuation
system for tuner is finalized and Pierre from EN-MME will discuss with Alick for test setup of the tuner mockup in SM18. Earliest test of the tuner mockup can be foreseen in Dec 2014. Some discussions between EN-MME and RF-CS has started for motor control. Pierre will also discuss
the standardization of the cavity insert for SM18 tests for all the crab cavities for easier handling. The parallel program to develop a prototype outside the scope of Niowave-SBIR in view of the LHC is being investigated.

ALick reported on the SM18 POP cavity testing status. Some clarifications on the preparation of the DQW (input antenna, HPR and insert modicifications) are needed. The RFD testing will be prepared once the cavity arrives to CERN. The UK 4-rod is being prepared for radiographic testing.

Alick will contact Philippe to discuss the required LLRF signals and setup for recording quench signals in the SM18 facility. A cryo -MME meeting on interfaces is setup for Sep 5. The round service module is now integrated into the movable table with a 45 degree angle for the feedline.
Ofelia asked for if a planning and required resources is being worked out for SM18 tests for the two-cavity cryomodule. Krysztof mentioned that the capacity should be sufficient in SM18 when there are not multiple requests. The integration should be worked out. A detailed planning for the SPS installation and beam tests is requested by IEFC. The time required for installation of different subsystems have to be worked out in detail. Rama mentioned that a report should be made
before the end of year to detail the SPS beam test program and requirements. Final locations of interfaces were requested to progress on the movable table.

Eric reported that fabrication of the inner conductor for FPC has started. The water cooling channels on the air side was finalized with appropriate e-beam welding location. Since the FPC design is finalized for DQW cavity, the test box design can be launched. RFD to follow. Tetrode testing was stopped due to start-up activities, and should resume in Oct 2014 to determine maximum output power.

Krysztof reported that the He-pumps are now installed in the tunnel, but testing in-situ still to be done. The sizing and security devices for cryo is close to completion. It was decided not to include thermo-siphon in the cryo loops as suggested by Shirkant due to space constraints. It is
also not needed for the LHC. The overall cryo circuits are evolving. The TCF20 in BA4 will be replaced by TCF50 immediately after COLDEX completion. The functional specification and launch of fabrication for the cryogenic modules should be done immediately to allow for testing
in SM18 in 2016. All cryogenic installation in tunnel should be forseen for the 2016/17 shutdown and hence cumbersome. This is also the case for RF services and cryomodule.

Action Items:
1. Update the existing organigram and make it available via WP4 page
2. Include the naming scheme and links to CDD/EDMS also on the WP4 page
3. Re-check fellow requests with TL's absent.
4. Alick will report on the planning and integration for SM18 tests in 2016.
