Results are presented for W±W±jj, same-electric-charge diboson production in association with two jets, using ~20 fb−1 of proton--proton collision data at s√=8 TeV from the large Hadron Collider at both ATLAS and CMS. Events with two reconstructed same-charge leptons (e±e±, e±μ±, and μ±μ±) and two or more jets are analyzed. Production cross sections are measured in fiducial regions enriched in the electroweak production mechanism, as well as in control regions with larger strong production contributions. The measured production cross sections are in agreement with Standard Model predictions. The statistical significance for the observed production in the electroweak-dominated region is 3.4 standard deviations (2.8 expected) for ATLAS and 2.0 standard deviations (3.1 expected) for CMS. Limits at 95% confidence level are set on anomalous quartic gauge couplings, as well as on the production of doubly charged Higgs bosons.
