Description
It is possible that stars close to the very centre of our galaxy can behave differently due to the capture and subsequent annihilation of dark matter. The effects of this accretion of dark matter upon main sequence stars and compact objects will be described in detail. Such WIMP burning stars, should they exist and if they can be observed, could lead to new ways of detecting WIMPs.
