Description

Ever since the discovery of spin, one of the fundamental properties of elementary particles, way back in the 1920s, polarized beams have played significant roles in scientific research and technology developments ranging from understanding fundamental properties of matter to medical applications like NMR. Recent developments of polarized protons at high energies enabled research in unveiling the deep secret of the proton's spin structure. This presentation gives a brief overview of the status of polarized beams in scientific research as well as its applications in future energy and precision frontiers.
