Description
CP violation in neutral B0 meson mixing has a precise and very small Standard Model prediction, but it could be enhanced by new physics contributions. Experimentally CP violation in B0-B0bar mixing can be accessed by measuring the flavour-specific semileptonic asymmetry (known as a_{sl}^{d}). I report on the first measurement of a_{sl}^{d} at LHCb, focusing on the crucial experimental challenge: the ability to disentangle the CP violating asymmetry from the B0 production asymmetry and the final state particles detection asymmetries. The result is consistent with the Standard Model expectation and represents the most precise measurement of this parameter to date.
