AFS vs BOINC meeting

• BOINC is useful, delivered 40TFLOPS for SIXTRACK.
• error rate is usually low (1-2%, includes users switching off)
• overview of the workflow - CERN users can submit to either LSF or BOINC

Timeline:

Tue 2014-10-08 14:40 Danilo reports "submission is stuck" and "ls /afs/cern.ch/work/b/boinc/boinc" is stuck

AFS support found fileserver to be stuck (restarted), and accesses being rescheduled. Volume got moved to a different (empty) AFS server
