Linear Colliders are considered ideal for precise measurements of Higgs and potential other new physics coming out of the LHC programme.
In Japan ILC based on superconducting technology is being considered, and at CERN CLIC based on normal conducting technology is one of the options for a post LHC machine.
In this seminar the technical challenges, solutions adapted and status of these two machines studies are described.
Also the experimental challenges for LC detector systems will be briefly described.
