Description
This workshop is intended to bring together researchers in various fields that are interested in the development of state-of-the-art photon detectors optimized for calorimetry and/or other particle physics applications. Aims Primary goals of this focused meeting are to share different experience and techniques and to create a cooperative effort for coordinated development and test programs. Solid state photo-detectors (APD, SiPM) become increasingly popular and their properties for high-resolution calorimetry need to be fully explored. A close collaboration of scientists engaged in the design of frontier detectors and experts from high-tech companies is key for successful results.
