The meeting took the form of a unstructured discussion focused on two topics. Random number generators and a proposed preliminary statement from the group.

Random number differences

• Seeds are identical across AMD and Intel in Alice and LHCb.
• Seeds are different between AMD and Intel in ATLAS.
• Gabriele has not had the opportunity to check the seed between events for CMS.
• Hubert has created some macros to study the generators across the two platforms and has found agreement between the two. (not sure of the details of the macros at this point).

Proposal for an initial statement

• Helge proposed that we make an initial statement before the GDB meetingsand WLCG Management Bored meetingsnext week.
