Asia Pacific Grid Workshop 2015
The Asia Pacific Grid Workshop 2015 is the first workshop dedicated to strengthen the collaboration among the Asia Pacific Grid sites in this region. The aim of the workshop is to bring together grid administrators, software developers and network providers in an informal setting, involving open discussions. The main topic is about the network operation in Asia Pacific such as Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Thailand. In this area, there is only one Tier-1 center located at KISTI, South Korea, and several Tier-2 centers in Japan, Thailand and Indonesia. The concerning key issue is about how to improve the network performance among these Tier-1 and Tier-2 centers.
In particular, this workshop will provide a good opportunity to share experiences, thoughts and ideas on network development and grid operation of Tier-1 and Tier-2 centers. The expected outcome of the workshop will contribute to the existing research and education networks (RENs) activities and hopefully make this area become another data hub for local physicists, scientists and engineers in near future.
The local organizing committee is expecting all the participants could get the great impression at this workshop.
