Description
Data Centers today are a close attempt to build for a need that is only as far as 2 years out. The trending for high density environments is causing a paradigm shift in the way Data Center designers and Colocation Vendors are implementing the next generation support infrastructure for the Internet. This presentation will review power and cooling technologies available today and in the future to support the Internet. Additionally a 15 minute Google Earth tour of Large Internet Exchange Points will explain the reasoning for choosing locations in North America and Europe.
About the speaker
Josh Snowhorn is a Vice President at Terremark Worldwide responsible for all Peering related services for the company. He has been with Terremark since the inception of the NAP (Network Access Point) of the Americas (NOTA), the largest carrier neutral Data Center in the Western hemisphere, including being involved with the site selection, design and construction of the facility. He has been a member of the global Peering community for many years including being the founder of the Global Peering Forum events.
