  The Webcast is a quite new field of activity at CERN. All important events are recorded and made available to general public via Internet. The existing version of the presentation program (Syncomatic) is being replaced by the SMIL version. SMIL stands for Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language. It is a way for describing layout and timeline of the overall presentation in simple and resource independent way.
