Description

Review the manner in which release 1.2 was developed and understand what changes we want to make for the future releases. The intention is to have an updated version of the "test & validation process" document that was announced at the last PTB and reach agreement with all the stakeholders in the project on an overall quality approach.

Includes:
- Lessons learnt from building and deploying release 1.2 and what we want to change for testbed 2.
- Review of contents of "test & validation process" document
- Activities for the "quality group"

6. Lessons learnt from testbed 1

Charles will review, from an ITeam and WP6 perspective, the lessons learnt from the development, integration, deployment and use of testbed 1 software. He will propose a short set of guidelines to be adopted by all WPs that are intended to simplify the development, deployment and use of testbed 2.

7. Discussion

This period is intended to allow discuss on the proposed set of guidelines presented earlier. The goal is to reach agreement on the set of guidelines and how to apply them to testbed 2.

9. Testing Group report

This talk presents the status of the testing performed by the testing group and what lessons we can learn from their work. The presentation should include a list of recommendations to be made to the middleware WPs to improve/simplify the testing process.

8. Test and Validation Procedure Review

This presentation will review the latest draft of the test and verification process document that has been evolving since the PTB. The goals is to agree on a more effective test and & verification process to be applied to EDG release after 1.2.

3. ATLAS EDG task force

Oxana will present that status of the work of the ATLAS/EDG task force which is porting ATLAS simulation code to EDG 1.2 as part of the ATLAS Data Challenge activities. The talk will include an initial set of findings and provide an occasion to resolve any outstanding issues.
