Description
The seminar will present the Agile Approach to software development, an approach alternative to traditional software engineering, which is gathering increasing interest among software developers. The principles of the Agile Manifesto will be discussed, and the main agile methodologies (XP, Scrum, Crystal, FDD) will be briefly presented. Extreme Programming (XP), which is the most popular among AM will then be discussed more in detail, highlighting the pros and cons of its use with respect to traditional software development processes. Bio: Michele Marchesi is a professor at the University of Cagliari, Italy, author of a number of books on Extreme Programming and Program Chair for the XP 200n conference series.
