      Trip report: PSC02 Belgrade, 04-05 September 2008

      CERN contribution and tasks:
      • Presentation:
      • Slides about CERN activities within JRA1 were provided for the JRA1 presentation
      • Action points involvements:

      Presentation reviews:

      NA1:

      • Technical execution plan - opening and closing
      • Presented by Ioannis Liabotis.
        • Objectives and progress of Activities are summarized
        • Pending Action Points were highlighted
      • NA1 general
      • Presented by Ognjem Prnjat
        • Review of activities, milestones and deliverables
        • Organizations of meetings - PSC03 meeting was scheduled, timeframe and location proposal was given for other PSC meeting
        • Notebook document will be used for project management information system
        • Review of signed and planned contracts and agreements - signing agreement with EGEE3, EELA2, Belief accepted at meeting, agreement with GENSI-DR pending
        • Review of timelines to be followed while writing deliverables is given. Quality Control is done on each deliverable. Highlited issue: timeline for deliverables were not followed so far
        • Reporting overview: Quarterly Reports shoud be provided as integrated report from each contractor covering all the 3rd parties.
        • Review of the first banking transfers is given. Banking information must be completed
        • Sites in Albania and Moldova are problematic (issues with personel and skills)
        • Communication should be done trough see-grid-admin@see-grid.eu mailing list and Documents repository

      NA2:

      • Progress, future steps and actions
      • Presented by Gabriel Neagu.
        • Objectives:
          • Structuring NGIs in non-EGEE countries
          • Providing active support for NGIs
        • Overview of tasks, deliverables and milestones given
        • Report on completed action points after the kick-off meeting is given
        • First deliverable DNA2.1 was submitted (deadline M03)
        • Per partner representatives for NGI monitoring were listed
        • Details on NGI metrics structure were presented. It was decided that metrics should be collected quarterly.
        • Impklementation solutions for mechanism for on-line metrics collection are being investigated
        • Overview of plans and progress on establishing NGIs in Armenia and Georgia was given. Significant progress was made. Next step is the kick-off events
        • Use cases for collaboration with EGI-DS were identified and approach strategy was outlined
        • New action points and timelines were established

      NA3:

      • Progress, future steps and actions
      • Presented by Miklos Kozlovszky.
        • Overview of deliverables and milestones given (status and plans)
        • Metrics were presented and partners reminded of commitments
        • Overview of past and future dissemination and training events per country was given
        • Plans, status and action points for preparing for future regional events (EGEE08 and ICT2008) were presented
        • Required "After event actions" were presented
        • NA3 responsible persons per partner were listed
        • Instructions for using SEE-GRID SCI TRaining Center were given (regarding web service, offered infrastructure, training materials)
        • Highlighted issues: number of events so far is insufficient, training material must be updated

      • NA4 Progress
      • Presented by Cevat Sener.
        • Overview of objetives, tasks, deliverables and milestones given (status and plans)
        • Status of current action points was given
        • Details on conducting and analysis of NA4 Application Questionnaire was presented with accent on statistics and conclusions
        • Deliverable DNA4.1 “Target applications analysis” has been submitted.
        • Organization and plans for how to Adapt Grid applications is given
          • Application Review Committee will review and control the progress of application
          • Application Support Group will provide support for gridification and certification of applications and contribute to creation of Gridification Guideline
        • Communication mechanism will be trough VOs mailing lists, wiki pages, community forum and helpdesk
        • Plans for Suuporting the deployed applications was outlined
        • EGEE NA4 Application Porting Support Group in supporting application development
        • Planned dissemination of applications were listed
        • Current action points were listed
        • Activities, progress and plans was presented within each VO, applications,core services and resource requirements are reviewed

      SA1:

      • SA1 Report
      • Presented by Antun Balaz
        • Overview of objetives, tasks according to DoW are given
        • Overview of deliverable and milestones with status and plans (DSA1.1a submitted, DSA1.2 in progress, MSA1.1 done, MSA1.2 in progress)
        • Activities, plans and action points within Grid Operations are listed; several actions are planned for converging towards EGEE-SEE; need for operations manual is emphasized;
        • SLA enforcment plan
        • Operational and monitoring tools deployment and improvement plan is overviewed
        • Overview of resource commitment and VO requirements; some countries do not meet commitments from DoW; storage requirements are not realistic, need to be revised
        • New ops tools developed by JRA1 were presented
        • Status of current action points presented; new action points created

      JRA1:

      • JRA1 Progress
      • Presented by Branko Marovic
        • JRA1 operational tools (OT) and application service (AS) proposals/presentations are overviewed
        • Current action points status is overviewed
        • First analyses of user JRA1 survey presented, survey to be extended with new services, NA4 application requirements were reviewed
        • AS/OT goals and effort must be revised, some OT/AS issues were discussed
        • Next steps and new action points defined
        • DJRA1.1 to be prepared by the end of October, DJRA1.2 by 20th December
