We present preliminary results on semileptonic B decays obtained with the BABAR detector. The large dataset accumulated at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory allows a new measurement technique, where one fully reconstructed B meson decays hadronically and the recoiling B decays semileptonically. Traditional analysis techniques complement this approach of tagging B B-bar events with semileptonic B decays. The analyses aim at determination of the CKM matrix elements V_cb, V_ub and parameters of Heavy Quark Effective Theory.
