Description
The Tape Automated Bonding (TAB) technology is being used for mounting front end electronics on the ALICE TPC prototype. After a brief introduction to the design of the ALICE TPC prototype, Tape utomated Bonding technology will be described in detail and compared to other available echnologies. The current work for ALICE will be used as a case study for performance comparison.Trends in industry for assembling and bonding will be described.
