Gigabit Ethernet is here. We have been looking at this technology since 1997, and most of the Computer centre is now connected to Gigabit Ethernet switches. This seminar will present the new Ethernet Hierarchy, the impressive evolution of switches and routers, the current deployment status of Gigabit Ethernet for Central Data Recording, PC farms, and Data Analysis, as well the new Gigabit Ethernet Backbone.
