After over ten years of very successful operation, LEP has to make way for the LHC at the end of 2000. The dismantling of an accelerator of the size and complexity of LEP requires very rigorous preparation and planning. After a brief presentation of the external constraints of the project (LHC Civil Engineering, INB regulations...) the global planning and general principles will be reviewed. Some detailed aspects of the techniques to be used and the associated logistics will then be presented with an emphasis on those which will benefit the personnel who will have to do the work.
