Description
The LEP Celebration of Monday 9 October afternoon will be retransmitted live to all of CERN's major auditoria (The main auditorium, the salle du Conseil, the SL, LHC, IT, and PS auditoria) from 14:30. The official programme begins at 15:00 with an introduction from the Director General, and Professor Martinus Veltman will give the keynote speech. Heads of national delegations represented at ministerial level will then make their speeches, following which a commemorative plaque will be unveiled. A specially commissioned ballet by Maurice Béjart will bring the ceremony to a close at around 17:20.
.. and don't forget that on Wednesday from 17:00 onwards, there will be a party in and around the main building - everyone is welcome!
