Agenda - CERN Redhat Environment: improvements . CERN Redhat 6.1.1 . Easy Installation Management (20 mins) . Nomadic computing (20 mins) . VMWare pilot project (20 mins) . GNOME pilot project (20 mins) - Redhat 7.x pros and cons: discussions. - User feedback on software releases and installation procedures. Suggestions or constructive criticism are welcome and might impact the near-future developments. - User discussion on the structure of the CLUG. The CLUG was created at the time when Linux was officially not supported and people using it could only come together underground and at night to share experiences and seek help. Since then things have changed drastically but the CLUG still provides an Open Forum between users and supporters at CERN. Is this how we want to keep it, does it need more structure, more activism? Are there volunteers that want to provide a better service to the community? -AOB
