Description
This workshop will focus on the protection of Intellectual Property (IP) generated in the pursuit of Particle Physics research and a number of practical topics relevant to inventors at CERN. A number of questions will be addressed such as what is IP? How is IP protected? What are the rights and obligations of CERN personnel with respect to IP generated? How should IP be managed within consortium projects and what difference does IP make in the commercialisation of technology outside of CERN? Several practical examples will be presented as case studies.
