CAEN's new VME Daisy Chained Optical Link Controller, the V2718, will be
presented and demonstrated. The V2718 and its companion module, the
A2818 PCI interface, allow a standard PC (Windows or Linux) to control a VMEbus crate (VME64 standard cycles) over an optical link. Display is available on the front panel, which also includes programmable
input/output LEMO connectors.
