Weekly meeting - with accent on create/drop table

The main aim of this meeting is to agree upon the create/drop table - will the schema be visible - what should be in the admin interface. Note that there is no agenda item for revising the Grid Journal paper. A few of us will phone Werner and Alisdair in the afternoon.

Cal and Stephen B - want to allow people to use the info system who are not part of any VO. It is not clear how we implement this Cal has suggested that the PTF might want to standardise on session management (this was after seeing our API and WSDL) They would like us to separate namespace from security - though I don't see why Johan Montagnat showed the biomed requirements: http://egee-na4.ct.infn.it/requirements The biomedics are working on an independent LCG2 deployment. They have tried the glite prototype but are concentrating on LCG2. I asked them about possible uses of R-GMA. He will think about it.

OGSA V1.0 document finished and will be put the normal GGF process. Abdeslem lead the design of the information section and wrote a lot of it. As a result GMA was accepted as a solution for Grid information and monitoring. This is good for R-GMA as people are starting to base their choice of system on OGSA compatibility. F2F meeting in August will be used for planning next move but I am unable to attend. Will I attend GGF12? Probably if the decision is that we carry on working within the OGSA WG.

Went to IBM Hursley for the afternoon. Met James and Manfred. Discussed INFOD-WG with Susan Malaika. I am writing use cases for INFOD. Some will be lifted from the main OGSA tier 2 use case doc and others I will provide. There is a need to emphasise the R-GMA friendly ones! Steve

Migration of basic code for the prototype complete. Steve H has moved the new API and wrappers to the new CVS and is working on them there. Linda working on more comprehensive installation guide, Martin to help. Martin to chase up the status of the RPM building targets.

It was agreed to propose the following changes to the release plan: The final spec will be complete at the end of July Code is now under SCM (however it seems that we can't build RPMs from the SCM system yet - this is Alberto's problem to fix however) The first Web Service version has slipped a month to the end of October and the multi VO support to the end of November.
