Description
In this session we will discuss the progress in the integration between the network elements (activity JRA4) and the middleware architecture (JRA1). The participation of the security activity (JRA3) is highly recommended since this activity will need to overview the integration process making sure that the whole product JRA1/JRA4 follows the security model.
It is expected that JRA4 will provide a final solution to the integration with JRA1. This meeting will be in good timing to review the proposed solution. JRA4 will have two main interfaces with the middleware architecture: (1) the bandwidth allocation and reservation (BAR) product will interface with data management and workload management systems to enforce bandwidth guarantee from the middleware services and (2) the network performance monitoring product will interface with the middleware information services, publishing in general network related information. Due to lack of time, only the BAR interface will be presented in detail in this cross-session and input from JRA1 and JRA3 will be much appreciated to complete the network architecture model.
