Running Athena application using Ganga interface (PNPI) 1. Short remarks about ATHENA - 25 min Short overview of ATLAS software framework - ATHENA: structure, applications, user interface. 2. Introduction to GANGA - 35 min. Ganga (Gaudi / Athena and Grid Alliance) is an interface to the Grid that is being developed jointly by ATLAS and LHCb. The aim of this project is to develop a front-end interface that will aid in the handling of framework-based jobs, and perform the tasks necessary to run these jobs either locally or on the Grid. Demonstration of Ganga GUI interface. 3. Running Athena using Ganga interface - 1-1.5 hours Demonstration of creation, submition, monitoring Athena job using Ganga interface.
