4.3 RC1 and beyond, the main subject for the next MWSG (Feb 23-24, CERN)
Follow up of previous meeting:
Old: Cleaning up the Savannah, aiming at getting consistent data (e.g. to get start
date, actual start date, end date and actual end date correct).
New: Has this been achieved?
Old: Ake flagged for a start of planning for beyond RC1.0, the topics at the next MWSG (Feb 23-24).
Aiming at having a JRA3 plan well before (3 weeks, Oscar's comment, i.e. first week of Feb) the
next MWSG. New release tasks will have to have detailed plans in place before accepted as work
items. Esp. there is a need for pre-releases, to get 'early warnings' of delays, and to get early
contact with JRA1 receiving parties. Basically, we need to make use of a \"lesson learned\"
from 2004.
New: DJRA3.1 and DJRA3.2 is leading the way. Olle to use DJRA3.1 to come up with a first list of
modules starting with a meeting on Tuesday with Thomas, Mehran. David to do the same exercise using
DJRA3.2. and people close by. These lists will be merged and used as a starting point within JRA3-Internal
for the first iteration, then MWSG mailing list. Goal: to have a decent list of suggestions, with
names on who to do it, and reason for doing it at least two weeks before the MWSG (Feb 23-24). To be
synchronized with the requirements lists, and JSPG as well. Decisions are made at the MWSG.
5. Old AOB
Old: Olle needs a replacement for the TERENA task force meeting in UK (Janu 27-28). Yuri or IanN,
Olle to follow up. The presentation is already prepared.
New: Has been resolved.
Old: Oscar presented the latest news on VOMS server. To be announced later today as in working state
on the integration mailing list. Patrick reported that there are still a number of problems to
be solved. Joni to find out when Karoly is back from vacation.
New: Status on this?
6. New AOB
6.1 How we work.
Ake still not satisfied with the level of detail in project planning. Might have to rethink regarding
resource planning. To be discussed.
