Conclusions and Decisions from the Meeting:
Agenda Items 1 to 5:
-DT1/GS has completed the cable requirements with connector drawings. The already existing documents are updated in the next days.
- The experiments were reminded (once more) that the cable installation, the assembly of the connectors and the testing of the cables needed to be done by the experiments. The only exception will be ATLAS:
-ATLAS will install cables without connectors.
-The connector assembly work will be done by ATLAS personnel (Protbino Team) under the supervision of DT1/GS.
LHCB:
- cables will be installed by external company. They should also install and test the connectors.
- Work starts around Feb/Mar 2006, duration approx. 6 months.
ALICE:
- Cable orders are out
- Cable installation starts in December 2005
- Connectors will be installed shortly before racks
CMS:
- Cabling work will most likely not start before Summer 2006, and will proceed Disk by disk. To gain time cables will be installed with connectors.
- Archiving requirements for cabling installation (quite elaborate) will be handled by CMS.
Problem:
- First vesion of cable routing exists, but changes are still likely.
- Patch panels for endcaps are undefined.
ATLAS:
- the cable orders are out.
- we expect the installation work to start in December 05.
Item 6 Back-Up system.
All Back-Up system are supplied now with bottles from the surface.
The Back-Up gas for single pass systems is as defauklt CO2. If anyone wants to use a different gas (e.g. Ar) they should let us now.
The gas coordinators are kindly asked to group the inquiries for their experiment.
AOB.
PLC configurations:
IT/CO will communicate the results from a simulation on the PLC needs by the end of October (2005).
Tender for Analysers:
The experiments expressed their wish that we should start the tendering work for gas analysers (O2 and H2O).
The gas coordinantors will inquire the needs in the groups.
