EGE Group: The EGEE PMB Met on 6 November to discuss the DNA1.4 deliverable, plan for transition to a sustainable infrastructure. The document is now being circulated in all project federations to collect comments, while in parallel work on refining the text and adding input from non-European countries and Collaborating Projects continues. At The ICT2008 event in Lyon at the end of November, the transition plans will be discussed with collaborating projects at the eConcertation event (24th November), and management of EGEE, EGI_DS, DEISA, PRACE projects will meet to clarify the e-Infrastructure ecosystem (26th November). The deliverable will be submitted to the EC on 15 December. Deliverables DNA1.2 "Quality plan and measurement plan" and DNA2.3 "Dissemination, Communication and Outreach Plan" have been submitted to the EC. Work on the second quarterly report of the project has started (due for submission on 15 December). The country report template is close to finalized and is being tested by CERN as a dry run before it will be sent to Poland and Greece as initial "testers". It will be sent to all countries in the new year, compiled as a summary report and results presented to the Collaboration Board at the user Forum in Catania in March 2009. The PPT tool's cost claim feature is undergoing final touches and will be put in production shortly for all partners to report their expenditure to date. Staff: Steven Newhouse started as EGEE technical Director on 1 November, replacing Erwin Laure. An administrative support temporary staff will join the group on 17 November to assist the Collaborating Projects Liaison Office as well as the Project Office. Input received so far from: ETICS 2, OMII-UK, SEE-GRID-SCI, BalticGrid-II, GridTalk, EU-IndiaGrid, EELA-2, Ukraine. * Ongoing review of the EGEE CP website. * Ongoing review of EGEE MoUs with BalticGrid-II, GENESI-DR and Kazahstan.
