Participants: * K. Elsener, E. Adli, D. Schulte, L Rinolfi, I. Ahmed A. Dabrowski, B. Jeanneret, H. Burkhard, T. Lefevre, F. Antoniou, A. Vivoli, M. Fitterer Presentation: * M. Fitterer - Progress on halo and tail generation for the CLIC TBL Challenge: for the moment HTGEN does not track through decelerating cavities Halo req: 10e-4 (from current stab. of 1e-3) Can we perceive halo as perturbation in the PETS, or should they be included when generating the wake fields? Discussion to be taken off-line (MF, HB, DS, EA, BD). Around the table: BJ: * Has worked with MADX dp/p problem (careful using chrom and T in MADX for the moment!) * Will now restart with CLIC CR work RT: * ATF2 work, IA: * Wrote draft clic-note on post-collision line * Analytical estimate on CLIC DB and TBL FS: * Up to speed with PLACET - reported bugs in the "transfer matrices" AV: * Will work on Intrabeam scattering and positron sourcs * Looking at different codes and ways to attack the intrabeam scattering EA: Filling in open point decelerator (for Daresbury) : * Investigating lattice tapering * Investigating beam blow-up (steps: * Checking short-range wake * TBTS FA: * Trying to find solutions for small alpha_C, for relatively large dp/p (~5%). To be checked: is MAD ok for these parameters? DS: * EuroTeV finished by end of year (report must be finished) * studies of persistent wakes in the main linac KE: * Mainly working on the Photoinjector (PHIN) * Post-collision line: Cockroft interested in collaboration, including a Ph.D. student HB: * Plan for PAC: submit a HT paper for CTF3 / TBL Action items (respsonible) : * summarize what is needed for CLIC Beam Physics in MADX PTC (BJ) * verify ideas for quadrupole aperture, versus wake field (DS) Meeting on HTGEN / cavities: Friday 14/11 09:00 same room!
