2 An Introduction to GPU Architecture and the CUDA Language

Speaker: Edvin Deadman, Accelerator Software Engineer, HPC Team, NAG Ltd. In this seminar we aim to demystify programming on GPU architectures. We give an introduction to the terminology and what it really means and explain the main differences between CPU and GPU hardware. We give a brief introduction to CUDA, the main programming language for NVIDIA GPUs.
