Pakistan Institute of Engineering And Applied Sciences (PIEAS) is a renowned research institute of Pakistan. Its rank is highest among all universities in Pakistan in QS Rankings and it is ranked as best engineering university in Pakistan by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. We have departments of Electrical, Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Bio Medical, Applied Sciences and Computer and Information Sciences and Physics and Applied Mathematics.
Regarding CERN, students here at PIEAS are very much aware of CERN and its contribution to particle physics research. Two of of our students were selected for Summer Internship Program at CERN in 2014.
Physics and Applied Mathematics department in PIEAS is highly active in research. We have specialized in LASER Optics and Quantum Computing. That's why the CMS Virtual Visit will be useful for us as it will enhance the research potential of our students.
