#-- MInutes (Prelim) Meeting 2,Dec 16 2015
Present: U. Van Rienen, T. Flisgen, S. Zadeh, R. Calaga

Three main discussion point were discussed during the meeting.

1. Creation of the new WP 1 to define the overall RF parameters and cover RF aspects not already covered in other WPs (A.Butterworth, R. Calaga).

2. Cavity design (WP2) being discussed with Rostock to transfer the WP responsibility to Rostock with the CERN contact as F. Gerigk and R. Calaga to act as the technical contact via WP1. It will be discussed both at CERN and Rostock before the change is official. The responsibility of this WP will be similar if not the same the collaboration agreement signed in 2015. In addition, the new WP2 is requested to focus on the FCC-ee option primarily on 400 MHz cavity design its compatibility between the 4 modes of operation. The scope of the 2nd harmonic 800 MHz cavities can be streamlined to advance more on the main RF system.

3.Visit of Shahnam to CERN mid-Jan to first meet the CERN-FCC team, understand the evolving parameters for the FCC-ee option and run simulations with Rama/Frank during his stay to fine tune for the April workshop. Some pre-simulations will already start at Rostock before the CERN visit to optimize the time here.

Rostock reported that the different options of the FCC were studied and a proposal to start with a Tesla like shape scaled to 400 MHz will used as a starting point for cavity optimization. The cell shape, HOMs, loss factor and related aspects will be studied and compared to the design proposed at SRF by CERN. The main goal of this study should be to determine an appropriate cavity aperture and the optimum number of cells.
