Description
It has been shown that black hole solutions in Horava gravity possess an inner 'universal' horizon which acts as a Killing horizon in relativistic theories. It has then been suggested that this horizon should play a key role in the thermodynamical laws of these black holes. However, under general conditions, we show that it is still the Killing horizon which governs the Hawking radiation. We also point out that the stress-energy tensor should diverge on the universal horizon. As a result, the status of black hole thermodynamics in Lorentz-violating theories is still unknown.
