Lancaster
Currently testing a new fibre link (borrowed) 2 Gigabit to outside world.
Liverpool
Building 8 core nodes as a test with a view to replacing older machines. New machines have a decreased power consumption and increased reliability.
Manchester
96 TB of new storage being delivered today. Will be brought online as DPM storage. dCache problems causing lots of headaches. Testing of a second instance of DPM at the moment and will migrate away from dCache. NGS VO enabled on the cluster and have now entered week-long conformance testing.
Sheffield
Problems with power cuts. SAM test and ATLAS test problems. Thinking about purchasing additional storage.
* ATLAS Update
Atlas analysis tests – next one tomorrow. Test will use filestager for lcg-cp. Multiple jobs running concurrently. 9am start.
* Tier 2 Summary
NorthGrid doing OK compared to other Tier 2s. LondonGrid by far the largest contributor of CPUs. Utilisation not to very high. Increase this by adding new VOs, perhaps non-LHC.
