Present: G. Sterbini, K. Hanke, H. Damerau, A. Floriduz,  S. Mataguez, S. Pittet, R. Mompo, K. Papastergiou, D. Bodart, S. Deleval.

K. Hanke introduced the goal of the meeting, that is to conclude and summarise the activities covered in the last task force meetings of TT2 with particular emphasis in the preparation of the TT2 baseline.

K. Hanke presented the following table (see attachment)

  Budget Code Description Group Section

showing the budget for the different activities in TT2 and invited the people attending the meeting to comment and to confirm if the quoted number are correct. After the meeting a final version of the document will be prepared and will circulate before the final presentation to M. Meddahi and G. Rumolo.

K. Hanke recalled that the LIU management accepted to absorb the TT2 EPC activities under the condition to be cost-neutral for the project. H. Damerau recalled that the nTof EPC renovation is not included in the LIU project but is approved in the CONS project. Following the request of the package holders and in with the goal to ease the follow-up of the different activities, the possibility to include the nToF EPC renovation activities in the LIU project is presently under discussion (even in this case has to be cost-neutral for LIU).

After preliminary discussion it was decided to modify the table by explicitly stating that the "Requested budget" column refer to the "TT2 Requested budget". To complete the information another column "TT2+nToF Requested budget" will be added where the cost of the nToF EPC related activities will be also considered.

Concerning the EN-EL, A. Floriduz will confirm if the present figure (603 kCHF) refers only to TT2 or includes also nToF.  This figure includes the 2nd transformer (redundancy).  If one consider a single transformer (no redundancy), the figure reduces to 362 kCHF (initial EN-EL requested budget). For the moment we assume that the 603 kCHF or 362 kCHF refers to  TT2 AND nToF (to be confirmed by J. Devine). H. Damerau asked to have the budget information in EVM data format. A. Floriduz will transfer the request to J. Devine.S. Managuez asked if the cable removals is included in the figure. A. Floriduz informed that the AC cables removal is included. R. Mompo added that the WIC decabling is included in the number presented in the table and that the DC decabling is not needed since the cables from the tunnel to the 269 will be reused.

The figure for the DC cabling is of 310 kCHF (TT2+nToF). The EVM is missing.

Concerning the transport related to the EPC activities is 30 kCHF (TT2+nToF). The EVM is missing.

S. Deleval informed that the 607 kCHF for the cooling activities include the cooling of 35 converters. K. Papastergiou added that the total number of water cooled power converters is 35  (TT2+nToF). The CANCUN power converter will be air-cooled. S. Deleval concluded that the 607 kCHF includes TT2 and nToF activities.

D. Bodart informed that the the TT2 switching magnet already exist. They need to be certified and the certification will start after this YETS. H. Damerau asked to D. Bodart to sent the activity in EVM format.

R. Mompo informed that the WIC activity is 260 kCHF. It includes TT2 and nToF. It includes the cable removal. H. Damerau asked to R. Mompo to sent the activity in EVM format.

K. Papastergiou informed that the EPC budget is 3540 kCHF and include only TT2 (nToF EPC budget is 1074 kCHF).

G. Sterbini asked if the MTG interface is included in the EPC budget. S. Pittet explained that a solution is under investigation and no quote is available but its cost will not impact on the EPC budget envelope.

S. Mataguez asked K. Hanke to inform the management that the TT2 tunnel required important maintenance work. K. Hanke will transfer the information to the management even if the tunnel maintenance (together with the building 269 maintenance) is not in the LIU project mandate.

D Bodart informed that the quadrupole magnet renovation of TT2 has been fully approved by CONS.

G. Sterbini asked if the present TT2 EN-EL configuration has redudancy. A. Floriduz answered that presently there is not redundancy. K. Hanke commented that the reliability of the present configuration is reliable but in case of transformer failure the TT2 has to be stopped for 3/4 days.

K. Hanke closed the meeting informing that a final document will be prepared by H. Damerau and circulate. It will be presented to  M. Meddahi and if approved will be submitted as the new TT2  baseline.

After the meeting H. Damerau prepared the updated table (last version on \\cern.ch\dfs\Departments\BE\Projects\PSUpgrade\WorkPackages_TT2_2016-02\LIUBudgetTT2_Final.xlsx )
