Geant3 con provide training on the system COMMENTS: - Some concerns on the reliability and usability of the E2EMON - Not clear strategy about Tier2s. Spain is trying something with the Internet2 Perfsonar LiveCD GN3 UPDATE OPERATIONS ---------- Ticketing system released and used. 66 tickets during the trial. Two training sessions done, at CERN and Fermilab. 8 Tier sites attended. Lot of feedback: procedures were reviewed and simplified. Twiki documentation and access need to be improved. GGUS ticketing system: many fixing and improvement during the trial, currently in a good shape. Issue with time zones. OPs WG: not many Tier attending. Key Performance Indicators: not defined yet OPs: regular conference call every 3 months. Time unclear. Service challenge at the end of May. BAckup tests should happen before it. Pre-production mode is going to start now. Next OPs WG meetings will be before LHCOPN meetings. USLHCNET UPDATE --------------- Ciena bug solved, back to the production setup (all links connected to Cienas) Will have six transatlantic link for Q3 2009 All Ciena will be upgraded to bigger chassis. NL-T1 UPDATE ------------ Now happily use Juniper MX routers to manage several OPN SURFNET UPDATE -------------- Crucial entity for networking and research in Netherlands NETWORK DEPENDENCIES -------------------- A DNS cache server in the LHCOPN address space can solve DNS dependencies. But there are other dependencies. Not everything worked when the Internet was done. QoS FOR T1-T0 TRAFFIC --------------------- T0-T1 traffic will be prioritized at T0 over any other traffic. ACTIONS ------- - Otto: organize training about the MDM for the Tier sites - PIC/Rediris may report on their experience of Tier2 monitoring - Esnet will report on their strategy of Tier2 monitoring - Edoardo: improve backup test report tables.
