Squall is a scalable online query engine developed at EPFL, that runs complex analytics in a cluster using skew-resilient, adaptive operators. Squall uses Apache Storm as a distribution and parallelization platform. The speaker, Aleksandar Vitorović, is a PhD student at EPFL and the main developer of Squall.
