Besides the technical disucssion, the key point of this meeting is the organsation of the MQYYM which has been decided between CERN and CEA:

 

1)Répartition du travail entre l’équipe CEA et l’équipe CERN

• All the detailed drawings and models of the vertical press are available and will be communicated to CEA for the study of the interface press (piston "nose" adaptator) / collars of the MQYYM.
• Drawings and 3D models of the different tooling will be communicated toCEA byJCP.

so far, the list consists in:

• press components such as the piston noses
• the expandable mandrel ;
• The support and the interface washer (top and bottom) for the collaring stage ;
• The support and the interface piece for the yoke laminations assemby;
• the tooling allowing sliding the coils+collar assembly in the press.

• CEA will update these components to make it compatible with MQYYM.
• JCP foresees to restart the press by the end of 2016 to ensure it is working properly.
• MQYYM collaring is expected for now in Spring 2017. The date has to be defined as soon as possible
• According to JCP, there is no other competing activity on the press
• CEA team will perform the collaring of the MQYYM coils with the support of a CERN experienced  team of technicians provided by Juan Carlos.
• It has been decided that the yoke assembly will also be performed at CERN sicne part of the tooling is already available. This will also facilitate the completion of the warm magnetic measurements tobe done after collaring and after yoking.
