Description

We consider a tree-level meromorphic, unitary and crossing symmetric scattering amplitude. We set up bootstrap equations in the regime s, t ≫ 1 and use them to constrain the asymptotic form of the amplitude. We show that in this regime the amplitude is given by the limit of the Veneziano amplitude. In particular, this implies that the leading Regge trajectory j(t) is asymptotically linear.
