Description
QED in d=2+1 dimensions is one of the simplest gauge theories we can write down. It is also hard to solve. Over the past year, we have learned some very surprising things about this theory. I will describe these developments and explain how they arose from an intersection of ideas in condensed matter physics, holography and supersymmetry.
