WLCG Accounting Task Force Meeting
Took part in the meeting:
Locally: Julia, Eddie, Dimitrios
Remotely: Andrew, Alessandra, Antonio, Ivan
1). Dimitrios made a presentation about status of automation of data crosschecks using SSB with a live demo.
Julia asked LHCb when Dirac data will be available. Andrew told that it happened to be more complicated than he initially thought and asked whether it is really necessary. Julia told, that she would check the content of the experiment VO feeds to understand how many T2 are only LHCb ones. Since the purpose of the exercise is to validate data in the EGI the portal, in case most of the resources are crosschecked using ATLAS, ALICE and CMS experiment-specific accounting systems, we might be able to survive without involving Dirac. To be confirmed after comparison of the VO feeds.
2).Walked through the list of the requests for the portal and the reports on the twiki page. The twiki page is updated with Ivan's estimation of time required for the request implementation. Ivan confirmed that the T1 report generation by the portal should be ready by the middle of August. There will be also a dedicated WLCG accounting portal. Ivan asked for a document which will describe in detail what should be there. Julia told that she would draft a document will send it around for people to comment.
Other things which were discussed and decided upon :
- to drop completely non-normalized CPU distributions (tables and plots) from the WLCG page
- the name of the 'normalized elapsed time multiplied by number of cores' should be changed to 'wall time work', 'normalized CPU' should be changed to 'CPU work'
3).The last topic 'time to work transformation' was postponed
4). Julia announced that next meeting would be in one week on the 4th of August. There will be a presentation from Tatiana Levshina about OSG accounting and the initial discussion of the space accounting, in particular the document created by Alessandro and Oliver after the WLCG accounting review at the April GDB
