Description

A workshop for gLite FTS Administrators

Overview

The aims of the workshop are:
  • Provide up-to-date information on the configuration and management of the FTS as supplied in gLite 3.0, as well as descriptions of new features coming in the next (October) release
  • Provide a forum for discussion on configuration and management of FTS Servers, with both developers and administrators present
  • Act as a forum for administrators to feed back feature requests to the development team

Local Information

SARA is situated in the Amsterdam Watergraafsmeer area, the campus is called Sciencepark Amsterdam.

The workshop will be held at the CWI which is in the same building as SARA but has a separate entrance. The number of the meeting room is Z009.

At Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) you can take a taxi to get to SARA (travelling time about 20-25 minutes, costs about € 40). With public transportation you can also reach SARA, but this is rather complicated and time-comsuming. From Schiphol airport you first have to travel to Amsterdam Amstel station by train (with a change of train at Amsterdam Central station or Duivendrecht station) and there you can take the bus number 40 to the Sciencepark (count on at least one hour for this journey). For more info regarding reaching SARA by public transportation, please consult our website.

Enter the Sciencepark campus on your left through the middle gate. The CWI buiding is on your right and there is a lambda sign near the entrance. A map of the Sciencepark may be found at: Map
