Edu: "Luminosity Surrogates"
Edu proposed some quick techniques to evaluate the luminosity measurement, in order to speed up the simulations, especially at the beginning where the luminosity is pretty low.

Also Edu worked on applying a SIMPLEX algorithm over all knobs simultaneously. This improves the results obtained so far, allowing to reach 102% of the nominal luminosity for 90% of the machines.

Ryan presents "Comparisons, but not the truth" on the One- and Two-Beam tuning simulations. Working on the traditional system, has been addressing the effectiveness of sextupole knobs. Some bugs were found in the scripts, and have now been fixed.

Fabien presents: "Tuning-based FFS optimization". Studied how the luminosity depends on the max dispersion in the L* = 4.3 m and L* = 6 m. Simulations show that larger dispersion lead to faster tuning. The results of the tuning is that larger dispersion for L* = 4.3 m lead to a better luminosity in the uncorrected machine. A conclusion is that a small better initial luminosity leads to a significantly better result of the correction procedure. It seems that the benefit to the tuning depend on the sextupole strength reduction. This implies that a longer system, for instance, which would feature weaker sextupoles, might indeed be significantly more tunable.

Marcin: "ATF2 tuning simulations vs observations". It seems the experimental data manifest more nonlinearities than anticipated by any simulations.
