SKA members are interested in how CERN manages international projects with geographically dispersed partners. • Working on the questions for the ETICS customer satisfaction survey I will send my version tomorrow • Prepared the list of ETICS features with short “attractive” and clear descriptions of each feature. The list was sent today to NA2 WP members for comments it will be send to TC and PMB for comments and feedback at the beginning of next week. A-QCM • Meeting among NA2, SA1 and JRA1. Bug fixes on web services, web app, etc Locking by platform being debbugged, quick submit of builds done. - Progress with the integration of the disseminator with the last version of the portal. Developer at CERN this week, good progress. - AQCM Report: Meeting with NA2, a wiki page with all information will be prepared and we shoudl start having examples of the report for comments. And generation of partially incomplete reports. - Dashboard: Have a page per project that shows information about the status, last builds, etc. Simple and basic for now. - Reviewing the documentation, executing all examples, etc. ++ Infrastructure - Debugging with Uwe installation at VEGA,progress Visit of Marian in 10 days. - Debugging with UoW the X-site migration. Bug in Condor to be fixed? - Removed virtualised nodes of SL5 x86_64 from pool installing physical node for SL5 x86_64 - Added Debian v5 x86_64 - Had hardware problems on the host that was the RC, fixed by CERN after a few days as by the SLA. - New platform names proposed https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/ETICS/PlatformNames ++ Planning - Started planning meetings and will involve other activities - General SA1 planning is next (mostly in DSA1.4 already) All SA1 info is available (mostly up to date) from here: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/ETICS/SA1_internal

Support ------- - Uwe, Michele in shift. 0 tickets. 1 external pending. - Still there are problems with people in SA2 being able to process externals. Be aware this mean that request will be processed very slowly as I don't have time to do that anymore. If this is a problem ,and we are not able to do the changes needed to let people in SA2 do that, the activity should be taken in charge by SA1, as per DoW Infrastructure Integration Job Submission ------------------------------------------ - The metronome-submitters has been made available to SA1 developers - Discussed with seed resources' providers how to install the needed software on our worker nodes. This is done assigning VOMS roles that maps to a superuser on the worker node. The mechanism will be tested next week. - Machines bought for ETICS have been delivered at CNAF, will be added to the production grid in the next weeks (currently no hurry as we have the seed resources) - Installed the ETICS services here at CNAF with minor hiccups, of which Marian has been informed. We will be using the repository for the submitters testing (difficult to configure? documentation?), and deploy new versions of the web service as the new submissions gets integrated. - Design for an EC2 externsions progressing, will deliver a design draft soon Deliverables ------------- - DSA2.5 due PM15, received first contributions. On track.

ETICS USIS (User Satisfaction Improvement Strategy) 5m
Improving user satisfaction about usage of the ETICS services is critical. ETICS is often perceived as slow and difficult to use. This is due to a number of factors: 1) Need for technical improvements in speed and usability 2) Disinformation or third-party rumours 3) General resistance to adopt 'procedures' We need to understand what to focus on and have a plan to address this issue as a combination of technical enhancements, training and dissemination. Where to start?
