have retired the 2 smallest servers (on critical power), afs232+afs233 (replaced by 4 VMs)
renamed to lxbWHATEVER
can re-use the machines, otherwise they go back to procurement
have pushed actuator in production for "vos pileup" (=BOINCed fileservers), that implements the -STOP/-CONT workaround
after we again had a heap (3..4) of these last week
will send mail, might have to cross-check and open ITSSB
tends to be kicked off by ABS (18:30)
AIM: blocked creation of new UNIXy "computing groups". Can still do manually, but it looks like people misunderstand what these are for (hint: they don't get magical free storage space).
FS probe runs on fileservers again (and latencies are down), but from standalone cronjob. Much dumber than "monitor", but one less "monitor" dependency.
ongoing: "qa" machine send SELinux-SPAM to SNOW. ignoring for now, probably need to tweak policy..
will look at recent openafs-1.6.21
