        Supporting STEP09 activities:

Services developed by GS and heavily used during STEP09

        • ATLAS:
          • ATLAS DDM and Prodsys dashboards, AGIS
        • CMS:
          • CMS Dashboard Job Monitoring, Site Status Board, Task monitoring for analysis users All experiments:
          • Site availability based on VO-specific SAM tests
STEP09 was a good opportunity for validation of the SiteView application which shows multi-vo activities at the sites

        Current development:

        • Development of the FTS dashboard
          • Setting up the base UI classes using the Google Web Toolkit
          • Development and deployment of the new version of the dataset monitoring application for CMS. This application shows access patterns of the analysis jobs to the replicated data CMS-wide.

        • Legal service approved final draft of Addendum to CERN-India Protocol. This extends Gridview collaboration until end 2010 (6FTE total). It is with BARC for final checking then will be presented to Director for signing.
        • Organising Training and support contract for ActiveMQ messaging system, and it’s use for WLCG operational tools (SAM, Operations Dashboard, GGUS). Developer Training will be at CERN the end of July for 12 people (50/50 split between CERN and non-CERN attendees). There will probably be some slots available for CERN IT people who are working/interested in working with messaging outside of the context of operational tools. For the support contract, the aim is to have it in place by September .

      • Posters at EGEE'09
‘Uniting our strengths to realise the sustainable European grid’ Submissions of demonstrations and poster proposals, representing active, practical work are welcomed from all aspects of the e-infrastructure community including: • Applications: The use of e-infrastructure by the application, end-user or research community • Operations: Tools, portals and services aimed at those providing the operational e-infrastructures • Software: Work from developers relating to services and tools that either exposes elements of e-infrastructure or builds upon existing interfaces to improve usability and access • Other: Work that does not fall into any of the above categories Given what we are trying to achieve, an “SSC-oriented” poster would (IMHO) make sense. In terms of operations & services, this could include not only the “obvious” (i.e. dashboards) but also more generally “WLCG operations” IMHO it would also be good to have something on Analysis Support (models). So depending on how you count that is at least 3, possibly 4 or more. Why don’t we use the group meeting tomorrow to finalise topics and list of volunteers?
